From ancient times to the invention of the printing press and engraving, there has been a long and rich tradition of multiple printing in the history of art. Images printed in multiple copies make it possible to disseminate works of art more widely. By using them as an artistic medium, artists are responding to the ambition to make each edition a work that is both original and multiplied.
Atlantic12 follows in this tradition and publishes fine art prints mostly of the famous Belgian illustrator François Schuiten, using a range of print techniques including offset, silkscreen and digigraphy (pigment ink digital prints).
We only work with professional partners, locally, and each printed image is the fruit of in-depth editorial reflection, in terms of the choice of visual, printing technique, print run, format and medium.
All editions are limited editions, numbered and signed, produced under the exacting artistic supervision of the authors who validate each stage of the publishing and printed on a range of Fine Art, acid-free and Archive-quality papers.

Atlantic12 is also lucky enough to be working with Luc Schuiten, the visionary architect and utopian at the forefront of plant-based urban planning; Romain Renard, a brilliant comic strip artist and illustrator; Alain Goffin, a draughtsman, colorist and graphic designer who is a contemporary of François Schuiten; and David Merveille, a talented Brussels illustrator and colleague of the Durieux brothers.
Note: please keep in mind that it is difficult to reproduce the rendering of an image on a digital screen. In reality, images are always more beautiful not only to the eye but also to the touch of the paper and the scent of the inks. To compensate for this bias and to observe the images as faithfully as possible to reality, this site often presents photos of the prints when they are signed and sometimes in situ, framed. But again, these are just photos. There's nothing like seeing them with your own eyes to fully appreciate them.
